Hasegawa is a Japanese brand considered among the pioneers in plastic model manufacturing.

Founded in 1941 as a manufacturer of wooden models, it switched to plastic in 1961 with its first model glider. The following year, with the launch of the famous 1:450 scale replica of the Japanese battleship Yamato, it achieved international success that is destined to endure to this day, becoming a benchmark for modelers worldwide.

Hasegawa's pride and joy is its collection of model aircraft-military and civilian-with a focus on the traditional aircraft used by Japan during World War II.
